This is a classic recipe from my childhood. I grew up making and eating this pie with my grandma every year at Thanksgiving. It wasn’t until adulthood that I realized most people had never had or even heard of this amazing pie. It’s simple and the ingredients are a little weird but it is hands down always the first pie gone at Thanksgiving and my number one favorite pie of all time!
Tips & Tricks:
- Make sure your egg whites are whipped to a stiff peak and fold in the sugar a little bit at a time, not all at once, being careful to not deflate the egg whites.
- If you are not a fan of almond flavor, substitute it with vanilla extract.
